The transition from high school or the workplace to college can be challenging; therefore, Adams State University is committed to ensuring each first year student has a genuine opportunity for success. To meet the needs of first-year students, Adams State University offers a group of programs and services to address the sometimes complex academic and social adjustments to college life, including Academic Advising, college transition courses, and First-Year Interest Groups (FIGs).
